Historic Gorizia in the logo is represented with a serif-type font by an Italian designer, whereas Nova Gorica is defined by sans-serif font by a Slovenian type designer thus bringing the modern and historic together in the slogan GO!2025 while showcasing the duality of the two cities. The symbol represents the borderless flow of the Soča/Isonzo river, it also reads as a path creating an evident connection with the slogan “GoBorderless”. Softening the “!” converts an order into an invitation making it friendlier. To avoid information overload, the symbol is incorporated in the wordmark itself.
